Measuring Information

Shirt Measurement
Neck NECK: Measure with the collar unbuttoned at the level collar would be if buttoned. Measure loose enough for index finger to fit between tape and neck for a comfortable fit. Sleeve SLEEVE (for shirt only): With the arm straight down at the side, place tape measure at the base of the neck in back. Extend tape measure across the top of the shoulder, around the elbow and down the arm to a point 1" past the wrist bone. This is the sleeve length.

Jacket (Coat Size) Measurement
Chest CHEST: Make sure that you are not wearing a bulky sweater or coat. Place tape around the back (over the shoulder blades) around the sides to high beneath the underarms, around and over the front chest area. Insert finger between chest and tape for comfortable fit. This is the jacket size. HEIGHT (Coat Length): From the top of the head to the floor (without shoes).
Coat Length Height
Short 5'8" or Less
Regular 5'9" to 5'11 1/2"
Long 6' to 6' 2 1/2"
X-Long 6'3" and Over

Trouser Measurement
Waist WAIST: Make sure there is no bulky material around the waist such as a belt or sweater. Place tape slightly snug around the natural waist (above hip bone) at the level of the navel. (The waist size plus 5 inches usually gives the chest and coat size.) Out Seam OUT SEAM: Stand straight and look forward. Make sure pants are at the level of natural waist. Place the tape on right hip at waistband (horizontally in line with the navel), and extend tape down side of leg to the outside arch of the shoe. This is the outseam measurement.
